The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special: In 3D! On Ice!

Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Morgan Spurlock (“Super Size Me,” “30 Days”) takes on the behemoth task of documenting 20 years of the global phenomenon that is THE SIMPSONS. In his distinctive and innovative style, the unprecedented one-hour special follows Spurlock as he sets off on a cross-country globe-trotting mission combing the streets for interviews from fans young and old. His travels take him from the home of THE SIMPSONS’ biggest fan to the organization at the center of THE SIMPSONS’ biggest controversies to landmarks such as the birthplace of “Groundskeeper Willie” and the Springfield Isotopes’ playing field. In addition, Spurlock talks to cast, writers and celebrities about the undying cultural obsession with THE SIMPSONS on THE SIMPSONS 20TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL: IN 3-D! ON ICE! airing Sunday, Jan. 10 (8:30-9:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

when you say SIMPSONS IN 3D what do you mean exactly? like AVATAR 3D where you put some classes on and the simpsons characters pop out of the screen at you? or 3d as in 3d people costumes? like the photo of Morgan Spurlock on Ice with characters from The Simpsons seen here:

because its very unclear and if it IS the 3d with the glasses kind… what are the tv specifications in order to view the event?

Im 18 years old and ive seen every episode and i watch the new ones online every week. I think The Simpsons is the best ever cartoon created and im so glad that there is still new episodes coming out now. Matt Groening is a genius for coming up with it. I would love to meet the cast one day it would be a dream come true.

I can’t believe I missed this on January 10th because I was at a fundraising event for Haiti that Sunday from 6pm-11pm.
I recall growing up in Haiti and loving the Simpsons show! My family of 12 brothers and sisters grew up watching the Simpsons in Haiti until we left in 1996 to the US. The rest of my family doesn’t really follow up and as a die hard fan with the Simpsons as I am. But afer I came here in 1996, I continue to watch the show and kept the tradition going through the young genration of my family. Most of nieces and nephews loves the Simpsons and my son who’s six years old was born watching the Simpsons and loved the movie!! I collect every single Simpsons DVD and everyone who knows me, is fully aware of my love for Simpsons show!!! Keep up the great work Matt and the rest of your staff!
Sincerely,
Casimir Deronette
